FINDING YOU

Do you ever feel overwhelmed with love for yourself?

❤️ Hope this reaches you and provides a powerup.

If you’re looking for it, there’s a good chance you’ll find it. ❤️powerup!

This statement should come with a warning label. Because it’s one of those “motivational” quotes that has good intentions, but doesn’t mention that it also applies to bad stuff.

I know, I know! You don’t understand, “I don’t look for bad things, bad things find me!” Good story, but it’s a complete lie, sorry.

For this story, I am going to stick to the generic definition of good and bad. For example, a “good thing” could be a ten-pound bag of cotton candy while you watch your favorite movie. A “bad thing” could be the same ten-pound bag falling on your head while you watch your favorite movie. Same thing, different perspective! Wait, could good and bad be subjective? Maybe, but that’s for another story.

We don’t set out looking for bad things to happen in our lives. We do, at least most of us, set out on a journey with a preconceived ending in mind. Yet, it shocks us when what we are not wanting shows up. It leaves us thinking, “I have no clue how that happened!?” Did some magical bad fairy godmother put a curse on us? Meanwhile, we’ve said the worst crap to ourselves. How often do you point out how “dumb” you are? Ever asked, “Of course, what did I expect!?” or the classic, “Why do I even try?” Yeah, me too.

The problem is the fixation on what you don’t want. This has caused you to miss the fifty times what you DID want showed up. Instead, our dreams become a story of “that one time I tried…” This is all known as the dream killer.

This is great news for the dreamers that keep dreaming. Because your missed opportunities result in a door opening for another dreamer. I have been on the receiving end of both and I was completely oblivious to it! It’s not your fault. We all do it!

So try this, next time you’re only seeing bad things happening for you, stop! Ask yourself, “Is my gaze so fixed on bad things that I’m failing to see the good that’s happening around me every day?” I promise you it’s happening daily. This is a fact and I see it daily, but of course that’s with the clear vision a brain tumor provides–best 20/20 vision ever!

I hope you find what you’re looking for on this journey. Sometimes life can be overwhelming. Breathe. There’s light even in the darkest storms. Stop moving and look for it. The pause is worth it, and who knows, maybe you’ll find that one thing that changes your life.

I think you’re doing amazing–struggles and all!

Live More. Love More. Wonder More!

Thank you for the continued good vibes! ❤️🙏❤️

Much love.
